Cremona is known worldwide for the violins made in about one hundred
violin making workshops particularly around the historical center
of the city.
From now on a visit to Cremona will give the musicians also the
opportunity to shop for double basses: as a matter of fact a group
recently formed by the name of "Contrabbassi Cremonesi"
keeps the legacy of the Cremonese double bass-tradition alive. Their
care is to meet the most peculiar musicians' requests.
These instruments come with a certificate of authenticity and a
distinctive logo "Contrabbassi Cremonesi", a particularly
selected wood and a warmish that follows the tradition of the past.
The makers Marco Nolli, Giorgio Grisales, Edgar Russ, Daniele Tonarelli
and Stefano Trabucchi, members of "Contrabbassi Cremonesi"
have all years of experience and given proof of their ability as
makers and won medals in noteworthy competitions around the world.
All musicians with high sound expectations will enjoy playing on
"Contrabbassi Cremonesi" and are welcome to the workshops
to try these instruments.
