He was born on November 3, 1964.
He attended the International Violinmaking School of Cremona getting
his diploma in 1983, under the guidance of Masters Giorgio Scolari and
Stefano Conia.
After his studies, he worked in Master Scolari's workshop, where he
could perfect his style, learning and getting also the art of doublebass
making.
He has taken part in many national and international violinmaking competitions
obtaining good results:
1987 - silver medal at the Baveno Competition of violinmaking;
1988 - silver medal at the Bagnacavallo Competition;
1988 - gold medal and "premio acquisto"at the V International
Competition of violinmaking "Antonio Stradivari" of Cremona;
1992 - two silver medal for a viola and a cello at the Bagnacavallo
Competition;
1993 - bronze medal at the Baveno Competition;
1994 - first place at the VII International Competition of violinmaking
"Antonio Stradivari" of Cremona, and also a special prize
for the youngest violinmaker in Doublebass section.
In his childhood he has started learning music, having played some instruments,
like trumpet, double-bass,and also studying liric opera and conducting
a choral.
Actually, his instruments are played by very important italian and foreign
musicians.
He makes violins, violas, cellos, double-basses; he also reproduces
ancient instruments and he restores old and damaged instruments.
